A young lady named Piper, TikTok handle ‘aamourpiperr,’ made a video on TikTok advertising her 16th birthday party in the Atlanta region, inviting anyone and everyone to show up and have a good time. Not only was it unexpected for her to make a video asking people to come to her party, but she sold tickets to attend the party, with reports saying they went for up to $400 per person.

The situation went viral online with 7.5 million posts on TikTok alone, where people expressed their thoughts on how ridiculous Piper was being, but Piper wasn’t done yet. Thousands of people poking fun at her party turned it into a joke, with influencers and regular TikTokers alike saying they would buy tickets and show up to the party. It all was good ironic fun. Very few people following the trend believed that anyone would actually show up to the party, but they were completely wrong, as reports say that anywhere from 80-100 people attended the function. The reasoning for the absurd ticket prices were because they would be in attendance for Piper getting a Tesla, which makes the situation even more ridiculous.

In a cruel twist of fate, the vast majority of attendees took to social media to express how the party went. Words like ‘boring’ and ‘underwhelming’ were thrown around a lot, with very few people coming to Piper’s support. Overall, Piper’s party was a lame disaster, but she didn’t come out empty handed.
