High school tends to go by faster than a lot of individuals may expect, and before you know it, graduation arrives and the moments you spent in high school turn into memories. Seniors have experienced many lessons that helped them grow, and they want to share some of these lessons with underclassmen.

Senior Hayden Manc said, “Take advantage of your time and spend it with the people you consider friends and family because time will go by like it’s nothing. It’s important to be who you are and live in the moment because it won’t last forever.”

She explained that one shouldn’t spend their high school years trying to fit into someone else’s expectations and just be true to yourself. Furthermore, always surround yourself with people who accept you for who you really are as an individual, and make sure to live in the moment. Take advantage of the time you have to make memories and appreciate the people who surround you.

Senior Kylie McGrogan said, “It’s never going to be easy. Make friends, ask questions, do stuff outside of the classroom and become more involved in the school. Nights will be long and classes will get harder but everything will be worth it in the end.”

This emphasizes that high school is not always easy but it is part of the experience. Although success requires effort, high school isn’t just about grades but instead making meaningful connections and memories. The lessons that are learned and the memories created make the hard work worth it in the end.

The advice that was given by these seniors shows that they understand the importance of making the most of the high school experience. They both emphasize making valuable connections as well as forming good memories within the time spent in high school. While students should work hard, they should also build healthy relationships with one another and appreciate the time they have.
