Time is something we all have a limited amount of. Realistically, humans can live to the age of 70 to 80. After hearing that, you might find yourself wondering how you could manage your time to make the most of your life. There are lots of time management methods that can help promote a healthier work style and decrease procrastination.
According to PENN LPS, “Poor time management typically involves procrastination, which can stem from anxiety and an inability to prioritize. When you put assignments or projects off until the last minute, you’re more likely to produce lower-quality work and miss deadlines.”
Scheduling your days in advance can help prevent procrastination and remind you of the things you need to do. It keeps you reminded about all the things you need to do. Furthermore, the practice reduces stress and improves focus by freeing your mind from worrying about what you have to do or only completing a task when you feel like it.
There are many ways you can track what you need to do and block out the time to complete these tasks. Whether it be writing on a calendar, utilizing a mobile app or even writing on yourself, there’s an indefinite amount of ways to do this.
“When I manage my time in my day, I get everything I need to get done done, but when I don’t, I forget how long I’m supposed to be doing it, and I just make up a time out of nowhere. I don’t have my other things planned out or schedules resulting in time loss,” said sophomore Lucas Martins.
All of this information shows how scheduling your work ahead of time and being knowledgeable about what you need to get done and when can improve your life as a whole.
