The Streamer Awards are a recently made award ceremony that was only created three years ago. The Streamer Awards includes contestants from all social media platforms; contestants are seated among a crowd and a select few give speeches. Candidates who receive awards are chosen through a combined vote from both the fans and from a panel of industry experts. The award categories range from Best Duo to Best Speedrunner. There are also awards for which game was best for streaming and which brands are ideal for sponsors.
Streamer of the Year award for 2025 was given to IShowSpeed, his actual name being Darren Watkins Jr, marking him as one of the most popular and most watched streamers in the last two years. Speed is commonly known for meme photo reactions used on TikTok due to how expressive he is when streaming.
There are of course many more awards that were passed out.
CaseOh won the Best Variety award as he always streams himself playing different games and reacting to videos recommended by his viewers. He’s one of the most beloved and quoted streamers there is. CaseOh is a family-friendly creator, although his jokes seem to be far out of context most of the time, even when some context is given.
Kai Cenat is one of the most popular streamers there is. He won many awards both this and last year including Best Marathon Streamed, Best Streamed Event, Best Streamed Collaboration (from a stream with Lebron James) and Best Chatting Streamer to name a few.
There are many more streamers who won different awards like Kreekcraft, LilyPichu and Plaugeboymax.
Many streamers work hard to entertain their viewers, but they still have fun while streaming. The streamer awards aren’t a competition but instead a way to show what these streamers are valued and watched for. To be able to nominate creators for next year’s awards, the Streamer Awards website can be found at https://thestreamerawards.com/winners.
