The year 2023 was a big year for music. To kick off the new year, some of the biggest artists have announced their upcoming albums releasing this year. Here’s a list of just a few of artists who have announced new music coming soon.
Taylor Swift is currently one of the biggest artists right now. At the 2024 Grammy awards, Swift announced her new album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” coming Apr. 19.
“I definitely thought she’d announce ‘Reputation’ Taylor’s Version,” said junior Kailyn Wilding. “But this is just as, if not more, exciting.”
The second artist releasing music is also one of the biggest names in the industry. Beyonce teased her long-awaited new album “Act II” of her most recent album “Renaissance.” Fans are speculating that the Texan singer’s new album is a country album following her latest single “Texas Hold ‘Em.”
“I can’t wait to see what Beyonce does with her new music,” freshman Yessica Ramirez commented. “It would be really interesting to hear her explore a new genre of music.”
Another extremely loved artist who recently announced music coming this year is Ariana Grande. Her new highly anticipated album, “Eternal Sunshine,” will be released Mar. 8. Following the release of her single “yes, and?” fans are elated to hear new music from the talented singer as she has not released music since 2020.
“I love ‘yes, and?’” junior Taylor Kuhl commented. “I’m so excited to hear what the rest of the album will sound like.”
Last but not least is Shakira. The Colombian singer announced her newest album, “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran,” (Women No Longer Cry) is coming Mar. 22. It will mark her first studio release in seven years.
This is a new year of highly anticipated albums from extremely talented artists. With all of these multiple-time Grammy award winners, the Grammy’s next year will be a big one.
