The Spring Chorus Concert is Thursday, March 19, at 7:00 p.m. The concert will be hosted in the FVHS auditorium and the performance is free to attend.
The FVHS choir has been preparing for months in order to be ready for their show date. Choir members have to be at the school at 6:00 p.m. with only around 30 minutes to practice before doors open for the audience.
Students say they are excited for their performance.
Freshman Morgan Alexander, an alto in the concert choir, said, “I’m really excited for it; our songs are coming along really well. [Chorus] is a lot of fun. Everyone gets along well and it’s nice.”
The concert is going to have a mix of choirs as well. Chamber, the advanced womens ensemble and the FVHS concert choir will perform. The three groups are going to be singing together at the end in a joint song. Students are really excited to have the opportunity to sing and work together with these groups.
Freshman Olivia Hammel, another alto in the concert choir, said, “I’m excited to listen to chamber and AWE.”
The FVHS concert choir is singing a few songs, including “O Sing,” “The Word Was God” and “Johnny, I Hardly Knew You.”
The choir is prepared to perform at their very best. They have spent months practicing and memorizing each of the songs they have to sing.
Many of the choir students are really hoping to see people attend and say it would be amazing to see a big crowd of people show up to support them.
Freshman Aiden Byers, a bass in the concert choir, said, “It’s always cool to come see the choirs perform, especially our upper choirs. It’s really cool to see.”
