The Jonas Brothers are back on tour performing both their new and old music. The tour titled, “Greetings From Your Hometown,” celebrates the 20 year history the Jonas Brothers have in the music industry.
The tour kicked off in late August and the Brothers made their way to Charlotte, NC, on Nov. 5. The tour travels all across the eastern US and even goes into Canada. Many Jonas Brothers fans are excited about the tour.
Eighth grader at Herbert Akins Road Middle School, Maddie Guistwite, said, “I’ve listened to their music growing up, and I find their work really nostalgic. My favorite song of theirs would probably be “Sucker” because it was pretty popular for a while. I didn’t get the chance to go to their concert though, which I’m pretty bummed about because I was really excited when I heard they were going to be in North Carolina. I’ve seen videos about it online, and it seems like it is a fun show.”
Guistwite shares this excitement for the show with many other fans. The Jonas Brothers focused their show around nostalgia and that’s exactly the emotion they evoked in many of their fans.
The show is a whole family event for the Jonas Brothers because they bring out their parents, brother and children on stage as part of the show. The Brothers also share heartwarming sentiments about life and growing up during the show.
Sophomore Ana Rivera said, “I think because the show includes their family it makes it very cool and unique. I also think that they have a lot of lesser known songs that deserve a little bit of attention from fans. Coming from someone who doesn’t know much about the Jonas Brothers, I think it is a very cool idea and sounds like a lot of fun.”
People who aren’t as up to date with the Jonas Brothers, still have very positive opinions on the tour. The Brothers have had many eras of music so having it all condensed into one show is a big move for them.
The tour is set to end in late December.
