The schedule for final exams has changed this semester. Last semester, each exam had its own day and students didn’t have to come in on separate days for EOC’s. This semester, two exams will be taken per day, and EOCs are on separate days, except for biology and CTE courses.
First and third period teacher-made, biology and CTE exams are on June 6. Then, 2nd and 4th period teachers-made, biology and CTE exams are on June 7.
June 10 is the start of EOCs. The math 1 and English 2 exams are on Monday. Then, on June 11, is the math 3 exam. Lastly, make-ups are on June 12, which is the last day of testing and the school year.
Exam times have changed too. For the first exam of each day, it will be from 7:25 a.m. to 10:25 a.m. There is lunch from 10:25 a.m. to 11:12 a.m., and lastly the second exam of the day takes place from 11:18 a.m to 2:18 p.m.
However, the EOC test days only take place from 7:25 a.m. to 11:25 a.m., and buses will leave at 11:45 a.m.
Some important things to know about finals: the exams are worth 20 percent of students’ grades. The overall grade will be averaged with the two quarters.
Seniors can be exempt if it’s not a required state test. They have to have above an 80 percent in the class and can’t have more than 10 absences in that specific class.
During exams, students are required to stay in the classroom where they are assigned for the whole time. Students aren’t allowed to be checked out early. Students can’t be late and are expected to be in their classroom before the start of exams.
If you are sick during exams, you must bring a note to the attendance office and discuss it with the teacher you missed. Students then will be expected to show up for the time and day the teacher tells them their make-up is.
Good luck on exams and have a good summer.
