The FVHS Student Council will present the FVHS Homecoming dance on, Saturday, Oct. 7, 2023, from 7-9 p.m. The theme this year is Enchanted Garden. For students, tickets will be $10, and guests will be $15. 

Over the summer there was a lot of work put in to produce this dance. Everything had to be approved by administration before they could even start, such as the theme, the date, and the location. After they were approved, they started creating all of the details and decorations for the dance. It was a very long process, but successful in the end. After not having a dance last year, many students are excited to see what the dance has to offer.

“We wanted to make the first Homecoming as special as possible and for the enjoyment of students. There were some setbacks with the things we wanted to do, but that’s part of Student Council,” said senior and president of Student Council, Emily Fairbairn. 

Fairbairn and her peers’ goal is to make this Homecoming successful and pleasurable. This being the first Homecoming FVHS has had in a very long time, they wanted to make it memorable for everyone attending. 

“It’s an event Student Council planned to help liven our Bengal spirit. Look forward to celebrating with friends at a fun dance,” Fairbairn said. 

Attendees are expected to follow a dress code. Acceptable attire includes polo or collared shirts, khakis or dress pants, short cocktail dresses, blouses, skirts, and ties are optional. Keep in mind that you are allowed to wear heels, but not on the gym floor. A spot for your shoe drop off and opportunities for you to take pictures outside of the gym will also be provided.
