The FVHS Prom night was Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Hilton in North Hills Raleigh. Many of the juniors and seniors attended the formal event, dressed in suits and dresses.

The theme of dance was Timeless to represent the 50 years that our school has been in its current location. This theme gives people the feeling that the prom is going to be even more special than others since it stands for our school’s history.

The event overall included two rooms. One had a picture spot and games. The other room had the dance floor and tables. There were also colorful lights and lots of snacks for everyone to enjoy.

Many of the students danced and hung out with their friends, but for some, it was also their last prom. Many of the students who attended will be graduating this year. Many of them feel a little sad about not being able to attend anymore proms, but they also feel happy to end it on a good note.

Senior Jaelya Jordan said, “This prom felt bittersweet, but it was definitely a night to remember.”

Towards the end of prom, the winners for Prom King and Prom Queen were announced. The winners were twins Violetta Stratis and Iasonas Stratis. Both are very thankful for everyone who voted for them. Violetta and Iasonas both had lots of fun and were happy to have been supported by so many friends.

Senior, and Prom Queen, Violetta Stratis said, “[My favorite part of prom was] dancing on the dance floor and hyping each other up before we went out for the prom court.”

Students enjoyed this prom and were happy to spend time with their friends while making countless memories throughout the night.

Violetta Stratis said, “When I heard that I won, It was really shocking and exciting.”

Students had fun and are excited to do it all again next year.
