Quarter one ended at Fuquay Varina High School, Friday Oct. 31, marking the half-way point of the first semester. Students’ achievements in academics, athletics and in the school community has made the first quarter exciting for freshmen in the school.

Quarter one had many exciting and engaging events, such as the Club Fair, HOCO, Cultural Fair, concerts and musicals hosted by FVHS, and many sports events in the community. Students had fun attending these events. The Club Fair also brought many different clubs into the spotlight at school such as the Heart Club and Women in Stem to name a few.

Freshman Shraddha Piskala Arunkumar said, “It gives me my high school experience. The events, Club Fair and especially HOCO, were fun. ”

Students are looking forward to more upcoming events in FVHS considering that there are only three quarters left in the school year.

Junior Tanushri Vivek Singaram said,  “I feel happy about the quarter ending, it gives me joy that I only have three more quarters to finish this school year.”

This quarter has brought many stressful and enjoyable memories for FVHS students. In the last days of quarter one, students are trying to maintain their grades by working harder.

Arunkumar said, “I know that I don’t worry about quarter one and those grades are final.”

Quarter one ending also brought the motivation in students to do better in the upcoming quarters.

Sophomore Lakshya Bobboli said,  “[I’m] happy considering the start of the next quarter means another chance for us to be more productive and get our grades up from scratch.”

As the students and the staff members transition into the second quarter, new events will happen, new wishes and challenges will come in the way. Students also hope that the next quarter is to be more productive and contribute more to the community.
