The FVHS Spring Dance Concert is Thursday, May 7. The dance concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. and will be held in the FVHS auditorium. Tickets can be purchased at the door or through the QR code posted on the FVHS Dance Instagram page. Children 4 and under are free.
The dancers are separated into three different sections based on their level of experience. There are the beginner dancers, and then there are the intermediate and advanced dancers. The beginner dancers have two dances to perform. The intermediate and advanced dancers both have three dances to perform. The different sections of dancers are supposed to show off each person’s skill level. At the end of the night, all three groups will dance together in a finale.
All of the dancers have been working hard for many months in order to be ready for this concert. One dance at a time, they have learned and memorized each step in their choreography.
Freshman Alexandra Zeevalk, an advanced dancer, said, “[We have prepared] by practicing at home with the videos and then making sure we run it on stage a lot.”
The dancers are ready for their upcoming show. They are excited and ready to perform on stage. Dancers are also nervous for the show.
Freshman Amelia Edwards said, “I’m feeling prepared for it. I do feel a little nervous for it, but I think I’ve got it mostly, and I think I’ll do well.”
The dancers are ready to show everyone what they have learned, so they are hoping for a good audience. They expect an audience who will offer them a positive vibe while they try their hardest on stage.
Each of the classes is going to work hard in order to make their show fun for the people in their audience. They are ready to show people how they have grown and what they learned this semester.
