Fuquay has been lacking a fine dining experience for a long time, but that’s about to change with a new steakhouse opening nearby. Harvey John’s Steakhouse is opening at 1501 N. Raleigh Street, right next to the Carolina Butcher shop.

“I’m excited for any kind of steakhouse because that’s my favorite food, steak,” said junior Owen Hoye.

The Carolina Butcher Shop is renowned as the best butcher shop in the Raleigh area. It currently has a 4.8 rating out of over 600 users on Google.

“I’ve been to the butcher shop before and it’s really good meat, so if they’re using the same meat it’s going to be really good,” stated Hoye.

Harvey John’s will be using fresh USDA prime beef from the Carolina Butcher shop daily.

“I think it’s cool that they’re going to use the meat from the butcher shop and they’re collaborating,” said junior Sydney King

Some of the menu items include Prime Ribeye, Prime Filet Mignon, Harvey’s House Burger, and more. There will also be sharable sides that serve 2-3 people and a children’s menu. You can view the full menu on their Instagram @harveyjohnssteakhouse. Harvey John’s will also feature new appetizer, entree, and dessert specials each month.

Entrees will range from $25 to $59, and each entree will include a buffet salad bar, baked artisan roll, and choice of potato.

“I’m excited for it because I enjoy eating steak and other meats,” stated King.

The grand opening for Harvey John’s will be on Friday, December 15.  The hours will be 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Saturday, and closed Sunday.
