Farewell yellow brick road-Tribute to Elton John

With a  music career that has spanned over 50 years, earning 12 awards, including a Tony, an Academy Award and a Kennedy Award, Sir Elton John and his music have stood the test of time.  Now that his career is coming to a close, let’s look back at one of music’s most influential characters and musicians of all time.

Since John’s first album in 1970, “Elton John,”  he has been front and center in the music world with his funky glasses, flamboyant outfits, and the amazing melody of the piano and his voice.

In his time on the stage, he’s performed all across the world. He’s played all of his hit songs numerous times, all culminating in his Goodbye Yellow Brick Road Farwell tour. Sadly, Covid put it on hold for about a year and a half, but he came back and still wowed us all.

John has been an icon within so many aspects of the world other than music.

Not only did he make a lasting impact on the fashion world, he also left his mark on so many fans’ lives that a movie was made about him and his life. In 2019, Taron Egerton took on the role of acting as the larger-than-life persona of Elton John, and he nailed it.

After John’s final show at Dodger Stadium on Nov. 20,  he now is settling into retirement. John had been married to David Furnish since 2014 and has two sons with him, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John and Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.
