The first McWally’s founded by local dentist Bryden McCormick made its grand opening in Fuquay-Varina on Aug. 25, 2025.
McWallys is a $20 million project offering attractions such as bowling with a private lane for an extra $15 fee, laser tag arena, arcade games, and Valo, a mixed reality playground.
McWally’s has great food with reasonable prices.
“The food is great. It’s genuinely better than a good amount of restaurants here and doesn’t have crazy prices like other arcades,” said sophomore Oliver Willis.
McWally’s bar contains a range of alcoholic beverages to non-alcoholic beverages. Alongside the bar is food you can order such as nachos, burgers, wings, salad, tacos, and pizzas.
McWally’s is a 42,000 square foot complex with a 5,000 square foot laser tag arena full of ramps, hiding spots, and windows.
McWally’s has 60 arcade games, and 90 televisions across 42,000 square feet. At the end of the building is the “Valo” arena, a mixed reality virtual simulation that uses tracking technology and projections creating an interactive space. This allows you to play games without needing any type of controllers or headset like your standard virtual reality experience.
With Fuquay-Varina experiencing a residential growth rate of 6.59 percent, McWally’s looks to have a promising future.
