FVHS has various vending machines around the school with the majority of the drinks being the same. FVHS wonders, what do students think should be put in the vending machines?
Across the world some of the most popular drinks consist of coffee, tea and most importantly soft drinks. In Wake County, soda is very prevalent in lots of restaurants, stores and gas stations.
“Definitely the Mountain Dew,” said freshman Evelyn Bloom.
Among the drinks already in the vending machines at FVHS the most popular seems to be the Baja Blast and Mountain Dew.
Throughout North Carolina and Wake County, popular drinks vary but some clear favorites seem to be Pepsi, Cheerwine, and Sundrop.
Besides just the beverages in the vending machines, FVHS has no snacks.
“First of all, if you’re hungry, I know a lot of kids who do Wake Tech and they’re going to get hungry. Plus you can’t go to the lunch line for snacks all the time,” said freshman Lexa Chapman. Chapman also said it could be useful for students if they added snacks like candy, chocolate and chips.
“I think they should add Monster Energy, Fanta, and Dr. Pepper,” said freshman Hailey Culbert.
More students were also asked what drinks they would put in the vending machines. Based on multiple answers Dr. Pepper, coffee and Mountain Dew with actual sugar in it were highly voted.
Overall it seems the students at FVHS want more options in their vending machines as well as different drinks. Is this a sign to change the vending machines?
