As the final bell rings and grades are final, some students are met with mixed feelings. For many, graduation marks the end of a chapter that’s shaped their lives. For others, it kind of snuck up on them; either way, it’s a weird feeling. It’s exciting but also scary; for most seniors, it doesn’t feel real yet.
High school has been a huge part of our lives. We’ve made friends, learned lessons, and grown into totally different people than when we started in our freshman year. It feels unreal to be leaving behind so much. On the other hand, it’s so exciting to get started with your life and career journey.
A lot of seniors also feel pressure about what’s next. Some are going to college, others are working or taking a break, but almost everyone feels a little nervous. But I think that’s normal.
There’s also a sense of nostalgia going around. The last games, the last class, even the last time walking through the halls— suddenly it all feels so important. We’ve spent years saying we can’t wait to be done, but now that it’s actually happening, we’re realizing how much we’ve changed.
Even though high school wasn’t perfect, it’s also been home in its own way. There have been good days and bad days, but it all added up to something we’ll never forget. The people we met, the memories we made, and everything in between— but it’s all a part of our story.
Graduation isn’t just about an ending. It’s a beginning, too. And while we might not have everything figured out, we’re ready to take that next step. No matter where we’re going, we’ll always carry a piece of this place with us, and that’s kind of comforting to know.
So here’s to the class of 2025! We’re thankful, nervous and excited for what comes next.
