VolleyBros is an upcoming, exciting, student-led event here at FVHS, which shows the volleyball talent in male students. The boys compete in teams to claim a victory, as if it were a regular game of volleyball. However, the teams are divided by grade level which creates a fair game.
Not only does events like these give an opportunity for acknowledgement, but it also lets the athletes enjoy the inclusive spirit that FVHS continues to carry on throughout the school. Volleyball is a popular, traditional sport that is commonly played by female athletes, so this event gives an opportunity for males who have an interest in volleyball to be included.
One of the members of the FVHS student council, sophomore Tiffany Nguyen, said, “We want to make this very interactive for the participants and make it one of the biggest events here at FVHS.”
FVHS has been doing volleybros for years, yet students have continued to ask what will be different about it this year.
“Student Council puts in a lot of work so that people can be interested in our event,” said Nguyen.
Organizing such an event like VolleyBros, requires a lot of continuous effort by recruiting players or promoting the event to create an enjoyable and fun atmosphere. The Student Council is ensuring that this school event is inclusive and engaging so the staff and students want to watch.
Your presence in the crowd can help make the event more memorable for everyone, especially the players. So come support and spread spirit to our talented FVHS VolleyBro players at FVHS on May 21, and don’t forget to thank our hardworking Student Council for producing this amazing event!
