Senior year is coming to an end. College essays are turned in and either you’re committed to college or a career. Everyone wants to just be done and graduate high school. The long four years are past overdue mentally, so students may think, what is the point during these last few months?
Although this may be a huge challenge, it all comes down to your mental health which you face everyday. Here are a few helpful tips to break those lazy, bad habits senioritis gives you and some background knowledge about what it even is.
A study at Southern New Hampshire said, “The cure to senioritis is all about motivation.”
At the end of the day, it’s about you. If you choose to slack off, you could lose the skills you once had to study well enough in the first place that made you pass the other three years of high school.
“Rather than viewing senioritis as a burnout phase, high school students should continue to develop their strong study habits and carry them into college. It’s important to get senioritis under control,” said Eric Eng, founder and CEO of AdmissionSight on US News.
Motivation is something that some people may find difficult to have. If they don’t have anything else to motivate them, knowing that college is extremely difficult for first year students, considering it is a huge jump from regular high school, will help push you to do better.
