Students have much busier lives than just school. A lot of students have eventful after school lives too. A student’s day can range from feeling passionate about a favorite subject to being anxious about deadlines.
Most students wake up around 6:30 a.m to start their day. Some students like junior Jesus Cano drive themselves to school. Other students like freshman Taylor King and sophomore Garon Coello hitch rides from their parents or friends.
During the school day, students make their way to their classes and eat lunch. Most students said they eat lunch in the cafeteria with their friends, but some like to eat in the library so they can concentrate on studying.
After school, students have to balance different activities, whether that’s homework, sports, chores, or their job.
King and Coello participate in sports at FVHS. King said she goes to her soccer practice after school, and Coello has track practice. Cano said after school, he goes to work for his dad’s company. Other students could be participating in activities like band, theater, or volunteering.
Junior Jordan McLean says his after school routine consists of “playing video games and doing homework.”
Junior Dawid Kuron said, “After school I have tennis practice, and when I get home, I do my chores. I wash the dishes and take the trash out.”
Kuron has good time management when it comes to balancing school work and being a student athlete.
Kuron also said, “I really like and enjoy tennis.”
Schools are full of diverse and unique people, meaning everyone can have a different home life with different chores and tasks. For example, some students like McLean have less responsibilities when he’s home.
Even with their hectic schedules, students know how to manage their time effectively.
