Fuquay-Varina High School will be hosting a talent show Saturday, Dec. 14, from 12-3 p.m. in the auditorium. Some competition prizes will be awarded, but the goal is to have fun. Anyone can sign up to perform their talents and all are welcome to see the show.
Rehearsals for the talent show will be Friday, Dec. 13 at 4 p.m. in the auditorium.
Students and staff alike are encouraged to dance, sing, do a magic trick, do comedy, lip sync or play an instrument to show their talents. Bands and groups are also allowed to perform.
Student Council adviser, Shannon O’Brien, said, “We have a lot of talent around here, and we want to give people a chance to show their talent and just bring the school together.”
O’Brien explained that getting students and society together is good for the community. Talent shows like this can show what Fuquay-Varina has to offer.
Senior Jordan Enwereuzor is head of the committee in charge of organizing the talent show. He explained that any talent can be included, and he’s interested in seeing a band perform.
Enwereuzor said, “We brought up a talent show just to have a little bit of fun and decompress.”
Enwereuzor said, “Talents can vary anywhere from comedy to dance.”
Enwereuzor is excited to host the talent show so close to the Christmas season. He says that this will bring school spirit and bring everyone together. Being a little silly and having fun is necessary for a good life.
If you have a talent and want to show it off, or just have fun, sign up for the talent show by clicking here. Tickets to watch are $5 at the door, but if you bring in a gift for the Student Council’s gift drive, you will get in for free.
