The Fuquay Cruisin’ event will be held at Fuquay Varina High School on Saturday, April 13, 2024, starting at 9 a.m. This event will help raise money and awareness for Military Missions In Action (MMIA). The sponsors for this event include CDT Automotive and Autospa, Fuquay Booster Club, Coastal Cool, Backwoods Junk Removal, and MMIA.
There is no cost to get into the event. The only thing needed is a small donation, such as canned goods or necessary products people may need. The monetary donations will come from businesses that have entered to sponsor and host the event.
“There will be food trucks and vendors, as well as a variety of cars from exotic cars, like Lamborghinis, to everyday cars, such as trucks and Jeeps, as well as a variety of boats. This is one of the first charity car events FVHS has done, so I think it will be an amazing start to many things in the future and a great opportunity for our school and local businesses to show our support and love for the community and giving back,” said sophomore Holden Biermann, owner of Coastal Cool, a co-sponsor of Fuquay Cruisin.
There is a $15 fee to enter your vehicle into the event. There will be a student section at the event where students can enter their vehicle into a small contest between their peers to win a prize and see who has the best car.
“One of the main goals of the event is to bring families and people in our community out to give back to Military Missions In Action,” said Biermann.
This car event will be a great opportunity for students to showcase their cars and engage with their community and school. Students love their cars and will enjoy competing for the best truck, Jeep, and more.
“We have some great students such as Holden Biermann, then CDT automotive and Jason Smith, who is a parent here at FVHS. They came together and asked what I thought about a car show. I’m always eager to do anything that could be a good chance for students to engage with their community. This would be a chance to boost our school and raise money for athletics,” said FVHS counselor Tricia Myers.
The Fuquay Cruisin’ event will also be an opportunity to bring positive attention to FVHS.
“We will be making a donation to the military in action by bringing in canned goods, and making sure they have some of the things they need. This event is all about fundraising, giving back, and bringing new and exciting ways of asking people to help us,” said Myers.
Make sure to get your car visitor pass and enter your car into the event either through the link on the Fuquay Cruisin Instagram account or through the GoFan QR code posted on the flyers around FVHS.
Don’t miss out on this amazing event. We cannot wait to see you and your cars there.
