With the NFL season coming to an end and the start of the NFL Scouting Combine, many mock drafts have been created. I will be adding my predictions for the 2024 NFL draft.
The Chicago Bears have the first-round pick of the 2024 NFL draft. It is rumored they will pick Caleb Williams, the University of South California quarterback, and former Heisman Trophy winner. The Bears are looking for a new quarterback to replace Justin Fields.
The Washington Commanders have the second-round pick, and are most likely to draft Drake Maye, quarterback from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Maye is a really good quarterback and the Commanders are in desperate need of one.
The third-round pick goes to the New England Patriots, and they are leaning toward quarterback Jayden Daniels from Louisiana State University. The Patriots are in a bad quarterback situation because they don’t have a named starter and are looking for someone fresh.
The Arizona Cardinals have the fourth pick, and they are believed to draft wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. from Ohio State. The Cardinals don’t have a star wide receiver, and with Harrison Jr. being the best wide receiver in the draft, he is perfect for Arizona.
The Los Angeles Chargers have the fifth overall pick and will most likely take tight end Brock Bowers who plays for the Georgia Bulldogs. Bowers is the best tight end in the draft with his amazing abilities to block and catch. With the current Chargers tight end Gerald Everett getting old, Bowers is a perfect fit.
With the sixth overall pick, the New York Giants are predicted to take wide receiver Malik Nabers from Louisiana State University. The Giants don’t have a star wide receiver, so Nabers will be great for New York.
The Tennessee Titans have the seventh pick in the 2024 NFL draft and are looking to pick up offensive tackle Joe Alt from Notre Dame. Alt is the best tackle in the draft, and the Titans don’t have a great offensive line, so Alt will be a good piece for Tennessee.
The eighth pick goes to the Atlanta Falcons, who are believed to take linebacker Dallas Turner from Alabama. The Falcon’s defense is not great so adding a linebacker like Turner will be a great addition.
The Chicago Bears also have the ninth pick and are trying to get wider receiver Rome Odunze from Washington to help their first-round pick, Caleb Williams. Odunze is one of the best receivers and the Bears desperately need him because they only have one good receiver and they need a second.
With the tenth pick, the New York Jets will most likely be drafting Olumuyiwa Fashanu, an offensive tackle from Penn State. The Jets offensive line is young but not great, so with the addition of Fashanu, their offensive line will be younger, healthier and stronger.
“His creativity makes him special, but he will need to play more on schedule at the next level,” said Daniel Jeremiah via NFL.com.
The 2024 NFL draft will be full of amazing players with bright futures. You can watch the draft from Thursday, April 25, 2024 to Saturday, April 27, 2024, on the NFL Network, ABC and ESPN.
