After a decade since Rockstar Games made GTA V, the GTA VI trailer has finally dropped and the fans are excited. The trailer showed many things, including the new map, characters, and exceptional graphics.

The trailer gives you the first look at Vice City and everything it’s going to have in store. Vice City is located in the state of Leonida, which is based off of Florida. Some of the things they’ve added for this comparison are an Everglades area and the Leonida Keys.

The new playable characters, Lucia and Jason, are shown and are apparently in a relationship. Lucia is shown in a prison talking with a correctional officer, then it immediately jumps in showing you everything you can expect from robbing convenience stores to getaway chases.

The first thing shown is the beach, you can see the new water physics and how clear the water is. The beach is packed with people showing an increase in NPCs (non-playable characters) in a given area. The NPCs have taken a step up as well, with some being seen running with pets, applying sunscreen, and even recording videos.

The Everglades are next up. GTA VI introduces us to several new things such as the new fan boats, these will be the most popular way of travel when moving through this area. The Everglades also features diverse wildlife like crocodiles, flamingos, deer, ducks, and alligators.

Something else seen in the trailer is social media. GTA Live could be a new addition. This may just be a way to show different things they’re adding into the game in a fun way, or GTA VI is introducing a way to post videos of your own experiences into GTA VI, or just view what NPCs post.

Avid GTA player junior Sydney King stated, “GTA V was really fun, but it’s been out for a really long time and it’s lowkey gotten boring. The trailer for GTA VI honestly looks pretty cool, and I’m lowkey excited for it since it’s been 10 years since GTA V. Florida is definitely an interesting pick, and I think crime will go through the roof. I think it’s really cool they’re adding wildlife to the game. I don’t think I’ll kill them but I’ll try to get a pet crocodile. I think the social media addition to the game would boost their sales.”

GTA VI is coming out in 2025, possibly before April, and at launch will be strictly an Xbox Series X/S and PS5 game. For those of you on PC, don’t worry, they haven’t ruled it out yet.
